How is the stitched image size calculated?
Each image is scaled to a common width (or height) first, then placed in order: for vertical stitching the total height is the sum of image heights plus spacing, and horizontal stitching works the same way. An edge longer than 8000 pixels is scaled down proportionally.
What is the output format? Can I customise spacing and background?
Output is a single lossless PNG. Spacing is set in pixels and gaps show the background colour, white by default and freely selectable.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Stitching and encoding run entirely in your browser; your research data never touches a server.
