FAQ
The submission system says my image is too large. What do I do?
Drop the image in, choose a quality level, and download the compressed file to replace the original. Everything happens locally — your experiment data never touches a server.
My screenshot is a large PNG. Can I convert it to JPG?
Yes. PNG, JPG and WebP convert freely between one another: photos compress smallest as JPG, while images that need transparency stay PNG.
Will compression hurt print or layout quality?
Compression targets visually lossless results — preview first, then pick a level. Journals usually limit file size, not resolution, so exporting at the target level is fine.
